Purpose

TSR celebrates the common heritage between Cap-Haitien, Haiti and New Orleans, Louisiana while seeking to reinforce strong ties and secure relationships that will positively impact our futures.

Mission

TSR's mission is to promote prosperity of the people of Cap-Haitien and New Orleans, cultivate closer relations through public and private sector cooperative activities, and encourage understanding of its people through cultural exchanges.

Vision

TSR’s vision is to form partnerships between multiple organizations throughout Cap-Haitien and New Orleans that act as a catalyst

  • Academic cooperation between the respective cities' universities and other educational institutions
  • Cooperation and exchange between local development agencies, chambers of commerce, and tourism departments
  • Opportunities for exchanges of art and cultural products between the cities' respective museums and galleries, and other cultural institutions
  • Opportunities for municipal exchanges, including economic development in the areas of tourism, agriculture. infrastructure, city management and waste and water management - as well as emergency preparedness, disaster management and climate change
  • Values

    Knowing of TSR's interest in the connection between the City of Cap-Haitien and New Orleans, our values are to preserve our history, promote our culture, and provide a path for those wanting to experience both places themselves.
